Cemile Sultan Liman Hanı Restaurant
World cuisine in a century-old building
Cemile Sultan Liman Hanı Restaurant sits on the terrace floor of the historic Liman Hanı in the heart of Eminönü, restored by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. Its panoramic windows look out over the Bosphorus, the Galata Tower and the meeting of Asia and Europe.
Designed by architect Vedat Tek and completed in 1907, the Mesadet Han, now Liman Hanı, was brought back to life through a careful three-year restoration; its tiles were numbered, removed, repaired and returned to their original places.
The menu brings together Turkish and world cuisine made with fresh seafood and local produce. Favourites include sea bass in crisp baklava pastry and the Liman Kebab: grilled beef tenderloin slices with smoky aubergine purée and yoghurt. A spacious, elegant venue for private dinners and business meetings alike.
